St. Landry Parish Summer School Registration 2023:  Grades 9 - 12

DATE: June 5 - June 29 (Monday through Thursday)

TIME: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, students must have been actively enrolled as a 2022-2023 student in a public or non-public school, have received a failing grade in one of the eligible Carnegie Credit courses, and have all required forms completed, including required signatures -principal, student, and parent.
Courses may not be taken for original credit.

Algebra I, Algebra II, Biology I, Business English, Business Math, Chemistry, Civics, English I, English II, English III, English IV, Environmental Science, Financial Literacy, French I, French II, Functions and Statistics, Geometry, Math Essentials, Physical Science, Physics, Pre-Calculus, Spanish I, Spanish II, Technical Writing, U.S. History, World Geography, World History

REGISTRATION
Students will register via Google Form. Registration will open on May 1, 2023, and close on May 24, 2023.

FEES
Summer school is offered free of charge to St. Landry Parish public school students. Students may register for one course or two œ credit courses only.

Others who wish to attend summer school will be charged $200.00 per class ($100.00 per Âœ credit course).    Students may register for one full course or two Âœ credit courses only.   Full payment is due to St. Landry Parish School Board Central Office by June 2, 2022. Payment methods include cash, money order, or a certified check. Money orders and certified checks should be made payable to St. Landry Parish School Board. Please include the student’s name and student ID number on the check. Personal checks will not be accepted. Fees are non-refundable.

GRADE REPORTS
Final grades for all classes will be sent to the student’s base school principal.

TRANSPORTATION
Bus transportation may be provided to St. Landry Parish public school students.

STUDENT DRIVERS
Students are to be courteous and respectful to staff members and other students at all times. Parking will be available on the school campus. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in withdrawal from Summer School.

RULES OF CONDUCT
The rules of conduct for Summer School are the same as the policy rules students must follow during the regular school year; however, there will be no suspensions for misconduct or other policy violations. Students who violate the rules or who have more than the allowed number of absences or tardies will be subject to immediate withdrawal.

ATTENDANCE
Students are expected to attend all sessions and arrive on time.
Only one absence is allowed.

STUDENT DRESS CODE
Students are expected to dress in school uniforms.
Any apparel that causes or is likely to cause a disruption to the instructional process is prohibited.
Hats are not to be worn in the building.
St. Landry Parish Summer School reserves the right to refuse admittance to any student not dressed appropriately, and if sent home, the student will be charged with an absence.
