Connie Derouen has been a Parent Educator for 4 years. Connie enjoys helping parents get the needed resources for themselves and their families. District staff from the Child Welfare and Attendance Department recently attended the International Network for School Attendance (INSA) conference which was held for the first time in New Orleans. Tiffany Perry, Cynthia Melancon and Angela Roberts also participated in a round table discussion on chronic absenteeism with perspectives from around the world including the USA, Netherlands, and New Zealand.
We invite you to attend the St. Landry Parish Middle School Football Championship Game on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The game will take place at Donald Gardiner Stadium, where our Lawtell Trojans will face off against the Opelousas Jr. High Tigers!

Please note that Lawtell Elementary School is following the SLPSB Clear Bag Policy. Additionally, no food or drink is permitted outside the stadium.
